Senior Engineer – Utility Control

What you’ll deliver

You’ll be responsible to control and monitor all voltage (high, medium and low) equipment’s and systems including chiller plants, water network and pumping stations.

You’ll manage the authorization and permit to work system in accordance with the electrical safety rules and standards.

You’ll be responsible to cover for operation & maintenance activities on all airport utilities assets; power generation and distribution, chiller plant/ water network and chemical treatment.

You’ll be accountable for analyzing post disturbance records (PDR) and Fault recorded (DFR) files and determine root cause of network failure/disturbances.

You’ll act as first point of contact and lead person in power/system restoration.

What you bring

 You’ll be educated to a Degree Level or equivalent in Electrical Engineering. Health and Safety certifications such as NEBOSH or OSHA is preferable.

 You should have at least 8-10 years’ experience in electrical engineering control and distribution systems. Previous experience of operating permit to work systems is essential.

 You’ll have detailed knowledge of Maximo or similar asset management systems, Power and water utilities safety rules and understand the principles of Safe Systems of Work (SSOW).

 You’ll have a good knowledge of computer applications.

As assigned, lead or assist in the planning, implementation and introduction of projects for new systems and technologies Possess strong relationship-building skills and be able to explore win-win opportunities with clients – helping to grow our business in  UAE & KSA.

Duties and responsibilities:

 DAILY

  • Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings
  • Market research and business planning.
  • Identify key business opportunities via spotting popular brands, trends, and pricing to ensure managing the portfolio toward a growth plan.
  • Track and report project development results, analyze data, interpret reports and information, and publish recommendations & action plans for the company and clients
  • Concept creation, development, and implementation.
  • Coordination between all parties: Design, Graphic, Contractors, Client, Food tasting, and Kitchen suppliers.
  • Facilitate the definition of project missions, goals, tasks, and resource requirements.
  • Preparing and maintaining project timeline, making sure all deliverables are completed accordingly. Report the progress to the client.
  • Resolve or assist in the resolution of conflicts between involved parties or functional areas.
  • Work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes.
  • Follow a defined, agreed upon project management methodology.
  • Coordinates the efforts of various workers in order to ensure that required tasks can be accomplished.
  • Recommends changes to a project that is ongoing if it appears it is not proceeding on schedule or is producing unsatisfactory results.
  • Motivates the Projects Team

WEEKLY

  • Manage project budget and resource allocation.
  • Interact regularly with existing or potential clients to determine their needs and to develop plans for improving delivery.
  • Coordination with HR recruitment process.
  • Coordination with Procurement Department sourcing on OS&E.
  • Present oral and written reports defining plans, problems, and resolutions to appropriate levels of management.
  • Develop methods to monitor project or area progress and provide corrective supervision if necessary.
  • Advocate on behalf of clients and represent clients’ needs as appropriate to senior management.
  • Develops a timeline for the completion of certain milestones for a given project.
  • Creates a budget for the completion of a particular job and monitors the amount of money spent in order to ensure the project does not exceed this amount.
  • Develops an alternate course of action for completing a job should the initial plan fail.
  • Reviews proposals and approves or denies them
  • Contracts with outside agencies for support on an as-needed basis

MONTHLY

  • Makes presentations to investors, business partners and company executives concerning different phases of a project.
  • Updates and submits monthly report and deliverables.

Qualifications:

Education:  Hospitality degree or equivalent education preferred.

Experience Required:  Minimum 8 years of experience required in the similar position.

                                      Must Have experience in consultancy and F&B Operation

Senior Systems Engineer, ATM Switch

DESCRIPTION

Job Purpose :

The ATM Switch Specialist is overall responsible for the management and technical support operations of the bank’s ATM Switch and related devices and interfaces. Currently CBD is using the FIS IST Switch System (Version 7.6.1). Responsible of solving major problems in switch system, developing the states & screens, perform the customization, Monitoring all ATMs, CDMs behavior, Integrating the ATMs with the switch, Managing the compliance, Work with vendors (FIS/NCR/WINCOR/FDI) , Managing HSM, Schemes (VISA/MasterCard) and UAE Switch as per the requirement.

Principal Accountabilities :

  • Developing and customizing the IST switch system modules. Testing and Implementation to live system.
  • Designing and developing the IST switch related applications.
  • Maintain and monitor the ATM /Switch related applications, platform, schemes connectivity and ensure 24×7 availability of the switch systems and switch related applications.
  • Prepare and maintain schedules to ensure timely switch compliance update as per schemes and other compliance requirements.
  • Tune the system for better performance, make recommendations where appropriate, and provide reliable environments to suit customers and benefit the institution.
  • Direct the timely resolution of system (Electronic banking) problems and escalate the unsolved problems to higher Levels so that user’s work is minimally affected.
  • Set-up recovery procedures and processes for all contingencies as to ensure minimum down time for Switch and the ATMs/CDMs/POS/Cards System.
  • Maintain the EFT Switch security devices & ensure appropriate security standards (FIPS/PCI).
  • Assist Unit Head in preparing the ATM/SW/Cards operational budget, suggestions and experience and to contribute to the unit effectiveness.
  • Provide assistance to different ATMs/Cards related projects to meet the Bank’s business and functional needs and commitments of the department.
  • Vendor management, Review the SLAs, conducting feedback meetings.
  • Execute the agreed projects/tasks within the timeframe and budget while ensuring the maximum security to meet the Bank’s needs.
  • Continues improvement in all the above area – setup mutually agreed criteria.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualification & Experience :

  • Graduate with Diploma in Computer Science/Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • ITIL Foundation level certification.
  • NDC/ANDC Training.
  • EMV/Smart Cards Training.
  • 6+ years’ experience in banking IT development sector, especially in payments & ATMs.
  •  At least 5 years’ experience in FIS IST ATM Switch development, configuration and maintenance/administration.
  •  Good development skills in IST Switch System modules to perform the development and customizations.
  •  In depth technical knowledge in ATM switching with specific experience in IST Switch system.
  •   Good experience in ATM/CDM machine administration
  •   Good understanding of system requirements for banking operational processes.
  •   Good understanding of ATM Channels, Various Schemes (VISA, MasterCard, CUP) & UAE Switch interfaces.
  •   Good knowledge in IST Switch States/Screen development.
  •   Good knowledge in IST Switch development using the SDK’s.
  •   Good Knowledge in C++ & Java.
  •   Good understanding of ATM/POS Transaction processing concepts.
  •   Good knowledge in ATALLA,THALES & SAFENET HSMs.
